Senior Game Designer
DataSakura is looking for a world class, exceptionally skilled and enthusiastic Lead Game Designer to join our distributed international team!
We have a set of small teams working on various games in multiple genres. Mostly it's mobile f2p casual and mid-core games, but our portfolio is expanding fast.
We are looking for someone who can come up with a new concept (Rapid prototyping), improve an existing game (LiveOps) or lead small teams through all the stages to global release, to turn the game into a global hit! This hands-on role requires a deep understanding of how games engage and excite people.
We expect you to be self-motivated, goal-oriented and a positive team player. You take pride in your work and have a broad sense of ownership in delivering quality-focused products.
We have a flat structure, and we give our teams as much autonomy and responsibility as possible, as we believe this is the best way to get the best results.
Key Responsibilities

Senior game design area in a small development teams working on various projects through prototyping, soft-launch, global release and LiveOps;

Work closely with the Product Manager of your team on building the roadmap and proposing new features to improve specific metrics;

Turn those features into documentation and tasks for developers and artists;
​

Generate new ideas and concepts that fit today's market;
Look into data together with Analyst and Product Manager to see what can be improved;

Provide feedback to other game designers on their projects, and seek feedback for your project;
​

Keep up to date on the state of the mobile industry, trends and inspirational games.

Key Competences

Work in a leading role in Game Design in big companies (lead game designer\project owner);

Development of hybrid casual, casual (not match3), midcore, multiplayer, innovative games;

Release of commercially successful products;

Work at all stages of game development - from idea generation to live ops;

Knowledge of game mechanics, experience in game balancing;

Ability to draw up project documentation;

Ability to quickly assess shortcomings, generate ideas and combine different mechanics;

English at C1 level for communication with customers;
-
Love for games, constant self-development.
Will be a plus

Higher technical education and experience as a game developer;

Experience in level design;

Experience with Unity;

Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
